  Alicia Gonzalez   Alicia Gonzalez graduated with a B.Sc. in Nursing. She is currently living in historical Fort Langley and works as a Diabetes Nurse Educator. She has an appreciation for all things art and in her spare time enjoys photography, coffee shops, outdoor adventures and good books.  
  Alysha Creighton   Alysha Creighton is a visual artist and teacher from Vancouver, BC. Her performance-based drawing and intermedia works explore issues of embodiment and identity. She is currently trying to keep warm in the blustery city of Edmonton while pursuing her MFA in Drawing/Intermedia from the University of Alberta.  
  Andrea Robin Juby   Andrea Robin Juby earned a BFA from British Columbia’s Emily Carr University of Art and Design where she studied the cultures and many processes of portraiture.  
  Brian Rush   Brian Rush makes videos, performances, relational objects, and interactions that use humour and discomfort to investigate inhibitions, fruitful vulnerability, invitation, and authenticity. He lives in Bellingham, Washington, with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs, and is pursuing his MFA at Azusa Pacific University.  
  Caleb Zimmerman   Caleb Zimmerman is Guest Editor at This Great Society. He has lived and written in northern BC, Japan, and Alberta – where he earned an MA in English at the University of Calgary. His work has most recently been published in Geist and Dandelion. Caleb currently lives in metro Vancouver where he is Associate Director of Communications at Trinity Western University.  
  Camilla d'Errico   Camilla d'Errico is known for her edgy, emotive, sexy low brow paintings and manga influenced, west meets east comic style. Her work includes BURN, Avril Lavigne’s Make 5 Wishes, Sky Pirates of Neo Terra (game + comic), Angry Universe illustration for Neil Gaiman and Helmetgirls., Myspace, Behance, Deviantart, Twitter, Facebook  
  Caroline Weaver   Caroline Weaver is a self-taught artist who lives and works in Vancouver, BC.  
  Chris Nash   Chris Nash is a nanny and farmhand who writes, acts, sings, composes and plays baseball. Chris has completed his BA in English with a minor in theatre, and recently moved from Toronto to Langley, BC.  
  Christine Schoenwald   Christine Schoenwald creates and performs in the monthly shows "Comedy Klatch" and "Pinata: the Personal Essay Show" in Los Angeles. She is currently working on a series of Young Adult novels.  
  Christy Gage   Christy Gage lives in Seoul, Korea with her husband, Tom, and her dog, Sawyer. She is currently looking for a kitten to name Huck and a hamster, Finn. Her other hobbies include sarcasm and singing Lady Gaga's "Poker Face."  
  Hilary Meyerson   Hilary Meyerson is a freelance writer living and working in Seattle. Her work has appeared in McSweeney's, Seattle Metropolitan, Brain, Child, Skirt! Magazine and at She has an unholy love of soup.  
  Jim Boraas   Jim Boraas is Art Director at This Great Society. He has a BFA from Emily Carr University and works as a freelance photographer and web designer in Vancouver.
  Joel Bentley   Joel Bentley is the Managing Editor of This Great Society. He lives in Vancouver, BC and his freelance work has appeared locally in Vancouver Magazine and BC Business.
  John Voth   John Voth is a graduate from Trinity Western University's theatre program. He is currently acting in Vancouver and owns an underground fight club.  
  Julia Church   Julia Church is thrilled to be graduating this spring from Trinity Western University. Favourite past credits include Godspell (Lily Tomlin) a TWU/Pacific Theatre Co-Production, Robin Hood (Chief Gisborne) for ITSAZOO Productions, The Good Woman of Setzuan (God#1) for TWU and any chance she gets to perform comedic improvisation.  
  Kaylee Harwood   Kaylee Harwood is a graduate of TWU’s Theatre program and two-time Jessie Award winner, whose credits include Sweeney Todd (Citadel), Les Miserables (Arts Club) and My Fair Lady (Western Canada Theatre). In the new year she’s off to Ontario’s Stratford Festival for Camelot and Jesus Christ Superstar.  
  Kenji Alexander Kabayama Skulstad   Kenji Alexander Kabayama Skulstad is Business Manager at This Great Society.  
  Laura Milligan   Laura Milligan is Events Manager at This Great Society. She has a Master's in Art History and Curatorial Practice from York University in Ontario. Laura currently lives with her husband in Vancouver BC. Her culinary and cultural finds can be enjoyed at her blog:  
  Lauren Thompson   Lauren Thompson is Copy Editor at This Great Society. She is an editor and writer based in the Seattle area. Her work includes journalism, communications, and freelance editing. In her free time, she compiles lists, browses maps, and watches her favorite TV show, Jeopardy!  
  Linette Schut   Linette Schut is Copy Editor at This Great Society. She is a support worker with a degree in psychology who is often torn between her love for helping people and her love for words and is working on integrating the two.  
  Linnea Elynn McNally   Linnea Elynn McNally is a published poet and artist, and is currently working on completing her MA of Arts in English.  
  Mandi Henderson   Mandi Henderson obtained her Honours BA in English Literature & Organizational Behaviour at the University of Guelph. Her wanderlust has led her to experience life abroad; traveling and teaching in London, England while currently continuing her professional studies in Florence, Italy.  
  Matthew Christopher Davidson   Matthew Christopher Davidson is a slam poet, songwriter and film music composer. He lives in Victoria, B.C. You can find out more about him at:  
  Mindy Heins   Mindy Heins lives in Edmonton, where she is working towards a BFA in Drawing & Printmaking at the University of Alberta. Most days she sits in a stupor in between a wheat field and tundra. In her youth she always dreamed of having a bear with whom she could dance.  
  Mirah Foxe   Mirah Foxe is a PhD conscientious dropout from the west coast.  
  Noah C. Buck   Noah C. Buck lives in New York, NY. He graduated from Portland State University with a BA in Speech Communication and Media Criticism. He’s a server, writer, model, and a sucker for the French language, dogs and cats—though he never wants a pet of his own.  
  Rachel Pick   Rachel Pick is a Vancouver area photographer interested in narrative and culture, often focusing on portraiture work. When she is not a photographer she is a freelance graphic designer for her company, Mint Creative. Her hair is curly.  
  Rebekah Joy Plett   Rebekah Joy Plett was born by a fishing hole on a clear and crisp December morning. Drawing creativity from the sea, she resides in a lighthouse atop a giant cliff where tiny boats run the risk of gashing their hulls on the razor-sharp Canadian coast.
  Sarah Kift   Sarah Kift works in the Downtown Eastside. She has an English Honours degree from UBC, and a passion for all things Vancouver, being a born-and-raised Eastside native. Her blog, mostly made up of reflections on married life and other dramedies, can be found at  
  Stephanie Toth   Stephanie Toth is a recent graduate into the big bad-but-not-really world, and is currently finishing her first semester at Douglas College in New Westminster. She believes in music with a pulse, genuine humanity, and beautiful strings of beautiful words.

  Thomas Cairns   Thomas Cairns lives in Seattle, Washington with his wife and their shared collection of hopes and dreams. He reads, writes and would like to someday own a dog. You may be especially pleased to know he suffers from no major food allergies. Or, maybe not.  
  Tom Gage   Tom Gage is a graduate from Trinity Western University's Theatre program, where credits include The Importance of Being Earnest, The Taming of the Shrew, and The Lady's Not For Burning. He currently lives in Seoul, Korea.  
  Veronica Collins   Veronica Collins is Editor-in-Chief of This Great Society. She is a writer, an editor, and very occasionally an artist. In addition to her freelance work, Veronica is a communications professional who works in Vancouver, BC.  
  Will Jameson   Will Jameson is Development Manager of This Great Society. He holds a degree in creative writing from the University of Washington in Seattle. When he is not fundraising or grant writing, he tries to put poetry and fiction on paper.  
  Zadie Xa   Zadie Xa is a Canadian visual artist whose work explores race, fantasy and nostalgia. Utilizing themes and formal sensibilities found within 19th century European painting, Xa’s recent pictures examine clichéd ethnic stereotypes perpetuated in Western history and contemporary popular culture. She lives and works in Madrid, Spain.
