  Alicia Gonzalez   Alicia Gonzalez graduated with a B.Sc. in Nursing. She is currently living in historical Fort Langley and works as a Diabetes Nurse Educator. She has an appreciation for all things art and in her spare time enjoys photography, coffee shops, outdoor adventures and good books.  
  Alle C. Hall   Alle C. Hall won the 2009 Richard Hugo House New Works Competition. Other work is in Creative Nonfiction, BUST, Literary Mama, The Seattle Times, Seattle Weekly, and The Stranger.   Alma Louise Visscher   Alma Louise Visscher is currently working on her MFA in Drawing & Intermedia at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She has both delivered auto parts and exhibited throughout the lower mainland. Her work can be seen at:

  Alysha Creighton   Alysha Creighton is a visual artist and teacher from Vancouver, BC. She has exhibited her work in Ottawa and throughout Greater Vancouver. Her performance-based drawings and intermedia works explore issues relating to the body. She is currently in Phnom Penh, Cambodia teaching art to prisoners and victims of sex trafficking.  
  Brian Rush   Brian Rush makes videos, performances, relational objects, and interactions that use humour and discomfort to investigate inhibitions, fruitful vulnerability, invitation, and authenticity. He lives in Bellingham, Washington with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs, and is pursuing his MFA at Azusa Pacific University.  
  Daniel Wagner   Daniel Wagner is a musician and poet who masquerades as an office worker. He lives in Abbotsford, BC with his wife, fish, and BA in Communications. In his spare time he reads comics and visits the zoo.  
  Diane Sepanski   Diane Sepanski has photographed gypsies in Transylvania, sung karaoke in Bucharest, and danced under a full moon in Cappadocia, Turkey. A Seattle-based freelance writer, editor, and a contributor for The Seattle Weekly, her essay, “The Skinny on Small,” has been featured in women’s studies classes across the U.S.  
  Fraser Martens   Fraser Martens is a proud Canadian who graduated from college in Idaho. He likes paradoxes, chasing vapor, and dark beer.  
  Grace Kim   Grace Kim was born in Seoul, Korea, and has lived in six countries around the world. She graduated from Trinity Western University with a B.A. in Art, and has found her calling as a teacher. She hopes to cross more borders in the future.  
  Heidi Nagtegaal   Heidi Nagtegaal is a visual artist and director of the Hammock Residency. She lives and works in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

  Jessie Gaynor   Jessie Gaynor lives in Brooklyn, NY. She studied history and creative writing at Columbia University, and her fondest wish is one day to return to the wonderful world of academia. Until then, she is pursuing her love of office work, and writing poems to pay the rent.  
  Jillian Towery   Jillian Towery lives in Langley, BC, where she teaches a course called "Reading and Critical Thinking" to international students seeking Master's degrees. Her newest great loves (besides her husband's exemplary cooking) include the art of paper cutting and relearning French in preparation for a Master's degree.

  Laura Milligan   Laura Milligan is Events Manager at This Great Society. She has a Master's in Art History and Curatorial Practice from York University in Ontario.   Lauren Thompson   Lauren Thompson is Guest Copy Editor at This Great Society. She is a recent university graduate who keeps moving closer and closer to her dream city of Seattle. She is a full-time communications coordinator and part-time copy editor, and spend her free-time writing, pining for print media, and learning how to be a grown-up.  
  Leah Albertson   Leah Albertson lives in Santa Monica, California, where she works in marketing for the popular TOMS Shoes company. She's a photographer and designer whose favourite medium is a disposable camera. She also loves road trips.

  Linette Schut   Linette Schut is Copy Editor at This Great Society. She is taking a break from normal life – being an overqualified support worker with a Psychology degree, while knitting on the side – to gallivant around Europe for a couple months.  
  Mandi Henderson   Mandi Henderson obtained her Honours BA in English Literature & Organizational Behaviour at the University of Guelph. Her wanderlust has led her to experience life abroad, traveling across Europe and teaching in London. Mandi is currently teaching high school English in Muskoka.  
  Marie C. Ballance   Marie C. Ballance is an educator and avid gardener living in Portland, Oregon, with her husband and five furry, four-legged children.  She writes fiction and creative non-fiction as a means of staying sane while finishing her EdD at George Fox University.  
  Mark Gunderson   Mark Gunderson lives in Portland, OR. He earned a BA in Art History from Portland State University and is currently working towards an MAT from George Fox University. He loves spending time with his wife and three boys, who constantly inspire his art:

  Matthew Laine   Matthew Laine is a Political Science graduate out of Trinity Western University in Langley, BC. He has been involved politically as a national youth organizer and a federal and provincial Green Party candidate. His political ethos can be summed up as: Fiscal Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability.   
  Neal Rockwell   Neal Rockwell still somewhat believes in radical politics, but has little hope for the future. He is alternately depressed and horrified by the technical and psychological processes that are of people, but seem now to be beyond them.   Nick Stecz   Nick Stecz graduated from Queen’s University with a BA in Fine Arts. He currently lives with his wife (contributor Laura Milligan) in Vancouver, BC, where he teaches music and works as a full-time drummer. Preview Nick’s various projects and recordings at nickstecz.com.  
  Noah C. Buck   Noah C. Buck lives in New York, NY. He graduated from Portland State University with a BA in Speech Communication and Media Criticism. He’s a server, writer, model, and a sucker for the French language, dogs and cats—though he never wants a pet of his own.  
  Patrick Bruskiewich   Patrick Bruskiewich is doing a Ph.D. in nuclear astrophysics at UBC and TRIUMF.  While quantum physics is his profession, art is his passion. He has taught at Emily Carr and counts artists amongst his closest friends. Patrick admires the Impressionists, is a closet surrealist, and creates to relax.  
  Rebecca Kruyswijk   Rebecca Kruyswijk is a teller and an assistant editor of a magazine based in Bellingham, WA. She drives a truck and likes to cook. When she is not traveling, which is often, and not serving in her role as doting aunt, which is not often enough, she works long hours and dreams of the sea.  
  Robert King   Robert King was born and raised in Seattle, where he hopes also to be buried someday - but not too soon. Having failed at conventional employment, he now freelances as a writer and videographer. His esoteric musings can be found at

  Sarah Kerfoot   Sarah Kerfoot went to school for fashion design in Ontario, but now lives in Vancouver. She is inspired by culture and the outdoors. She currently works for a fair trade company and dreams of starting her own Fair Trade clothing company one day.

  Shari-Anne Gibson   Shari-Anne Gibson received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Ontario College of Art and Design, before spending a year studying Renaissance painting in Florence, Italy. She has exhibited in Toronto, Germany, and Italy, and most recently in her new home city of Vancouver. shariannegibson.com  
  Sharon Collins   Sharon Collins has taught the art of writing and the wonder of geography to her six daughters in many different settings throughout her life. She now lives in Abbotsford, BC, where she can be found tending a large household, volunteering, and very occasionally relaxing with an atlas or Jane Austen novel.  
  Trevor Leyenhorst   Trevor Leyenhorst enjoys learning. He's currently becoming an American Sign Language-English Interpreter in Burnaby, though he usually goes about as an event videographer or just plain human being, learning from people, travel, readings and dreams. His favorite weather is wind.
