I discovered Robert Adams last fall at the VAG. He mostly shoots landscape photos of the Rockies and plains, particularly in Colorado. After my weekend in the rocky state over Easter I returned to his stunning Summer Nights series, an idea for a theme I’m surprised I haven’t seen before. His photos are incredibly understated, but full of tone, and the longer you look at them the more you can see the craft and care he puts into each composition.
This may just be the inspiration I need to bring out the Flexaret and take some medium format shots of my own.
“What’s New?” Wednesdays is a weekly column where I talk about old stuff I’ve just discovered.
