I Don’t Speak French

Here’s a bunch of English people singing to French people.
You can look at Nick Cave for hours and never be able to tell what year it is. That’s a virtue.
That one was in England, but it was just so fucking good I thought we could overlook its geographical handicap. Here’s Nick singing to you from Paris so we all feel better.
Why? is a band I started listening to one day when my pal Kurt told me to. I didn’t listen to anything else for about a month. This is Why? in Paris:
Here’s The Kills, I’ve got my brother Tom to thank for several years of listening to this while I ride around on my bike. URA Fever:
And, to tie it all together, here’s The Kills "Future Starts Slow" live in Paris.
So that’s sort of a slap-dash hodgepodge of music I like, tied together by a very liberally interpreted French theme. There was a point I was hoping to make though, I sort of lost the thread along the way but it was something about enjoying life for the giant mess it is. “While you’re alive, feel alive” as they say; we’re all just making this shit up as we go.
I’ll end by saying that only the French know what’s going on here:
Have a great day.

That Nick Cave video makes me so happy.
