Socks!

In my voracious reading of knitting blogs, I’ve come across a lot of knitters who are obsessed with knitting socks. I couldn’t figure out what the fuss was all about, but at least a year ago, I thought I’d give it a try. I got this far:
A few weeks ago, inspired by a knitting friend, I decided to give it another try. We bought a book full of incredible sock patterns, and I was hooked. This time I had the knitting knowledge and expertise to follow through. And so, here is my first pair of handmade socks:
