Time, Where Have You Gone?
As time travel became more of a reality, reality became less of one. Instead of being used as a tool for exploration or for teaching or changing the course of history and all other matter of things prophesied by fiction leading up to its realization, time travel was developed and marketed with unparalleled skill and efficacy, such as the people had never before witnessed. It took stocks and media like ice cream, as was the saying, and the drying of oceans and proliferation of certain types of mold and fungi were scarcely noticed. Fish hadn’t time to take to land, and humans no longer took to the sea.

The Cloud Maker’s Shoes
The Cloud Maker tends to hide in her shop. Even on days when she’s afforded a break, she widdles and fiddles and passes the time. It’s not that she’s bored or pushed past her limit, it’s just that she’s waiting on something. And clouds and fog and mist and haze and everything else that fills up her day. You would think the flat colours of the water in air would eventually kill her with incessant distaste. But wonderful hues would bounce off her shoes—cayenne carnation or honeydew green. Which is why every night I sing to the skies to remind the Cloud Maker to remember her shoes.
