When I think of borders, I think of friends. My wife and I have a number of friends that live across different borders: some in Canada and England, some in Washington and New York, some in Brazil. Sometimes we visit them, but we are always told to leave soon because we aren’t allowed to stay for long. Sometimes we think about moving, but our governments won’t let us, so friendships become a challenge. We know they will be okay though, because we are still partners across borders. |
